Pilgrimage to Crowland Abbey, Norfolk on Saturday 12th August.

 

Join us and our brethren from other Antiochian Orthodox parishes as we come together to venerate the relic of St Theodore (last Abbot of Crowland) who was slain at the altar by Viking invaders when he would not renounce Christ and received the crown of martyrdom circa 850 AD. The piercing of the sword can clearly be seen in the relic of his skull.

 

Sayedna Silouan will be joining us for our pilgrimage to Crowland Abbey and celebrate Divine Liturgy hopefully using the new Orthodox Chapel which is very near to completion. He will also be with us at Sts Columba and Kentigern on Sunday 13th of August to celebrate the Divine Liturgy there too.

Bring a picnic to enjoy either inside the abbey or outside in the beautiful grounds of the ancient ruins of the original abbey weather permitting.
