"A brother questioned Abba Poemen in these words, "What does the Scripture mean: 'See that none of you repays evil for evil?'" The old man said to him, "Passions work in four stages: first, in the heart; secondly, in the face; thirdly, in words; and fourthly, it is essential not to render evil for evil in deeds. If you can purify your heart, passion will not come into your expression; but if it comes into your face, take care not to speak; but if you do speak, cut the conversation short in case you render evil for evil.""

Sunday 18th September 2011

The baptism took place on Sunday, 18th September 2011 of little Kevin Buncik, our newest brother in Christ. Fr David performed the Baptism in lieu of Fr George who was ill.

Kevin was brought to Church by his parents, Martin and Renata Buncik along with their relatives and friends. His Godparents were: Vladimir Buncik and Valeria Meier. As neither of Kevin's parents nor his Godparents spoke much if any English, an old friend of our Church, Ladislav, who is related to the family, made the responses as proxy. Ladislav can be seen in the rather impressive white shirt.
